The Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) closed on a $13 million multi-tranche loan facility to Derrimon Trading Company Limited, a limited liability company organized and existing under the laws of Jamaica (Derrimon). The facility includes a $5 million revolving tranche, and a $3 million (extendable to $8 million) term loan tranche. Derrimon, a major distributor of consumer goods to the Jamaican market, will use the proceeds of the facility to modernize its warehouse and distribution center in Jamaica, acquire consumer goods and fund the installation of solar panels, among other initiatives. The facility closed on December 22, 2024, and the first disbursement under the revolving tranche occurred on March 25, 2024.
