MIAMI — July 18, 2014 — Hunton & Williams LLP’s Juan C. Enjamio was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Third District Court of Appeal Judicial Nomination Commission. Enjamio, one of twenty-seven individuals across the state appointed to nine Judicial Nominating Commissions, is managing partner of the firm’s Miami office and head of the labor and employment team in Miami.

“It is an honor to have been selected to serve on the governor’s judicial nominating commission and I look forward to serving the state of Florida and its residents in this capacity,” stated Enjamio.

Appointed from a list of nominees submitted by the Florida Bar, Enjamio’s term began on July 14, 2014 and will end on July 1, 2018.

A former Adjunct Professor of Constitutional Law at Florida International University, Enjamio serves as a member of the Judicial Nomination Commission for the Third District Court of Appeal; member of the United Way Center for Financial Stability; member of the Board of the St. John Bosco Leadership Learning Center; member of the Board of Advisors, University of Miami School of Law Center for Ethics and Public Policy; and as the Immediate Past-President of the University of Florida Hispanic Alumni Association. He has been a member of the Federal Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and of the Board of Directors, Volunteer Lawyers Project of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, is the past president of the Dade County School Athletics Foundation, and is the former executive director of the Dade County Fair Campaign.
