Multilayered Notices

The Centre re-engineered the way business and regulators think about consumer privacy notices by introducing a system for creating easy-to-read notices. Working with member companies, government officials and consumer organizations, the Centre introduced a practical approach to developing multilayered, template-based notices that are clear, succinct, and compliant with national laws. Working with key international players, the Centre led a process by which multilayered notices were adopted by the European Article 29 Working Party and the OECD. The Centre works with member companies and government officials to encourage the adoption of these simplified notices.
