Practice focuses on litigation of employment-related disputes in federal and state courts and before the National Labor Relations Board. Practice areas include civil rights, labor-management relations, voting rights, wage and hour law, disability discrimination, sexual harassment, affirmative action, age discrimination, employee benefits, wrongful termination claims, arbitrations, worker’s compensation, labor contract negotiations, management training and occupational safety and health matters.

Relevant Experience

  • Litigated dozens of discrimination and wrongful termination suits in federal and state courts.
  • Handled numerous OFCCP compliance reviews of affirmative action plans, including “glass ceiling” and compensation audits.
  • Defended companies in unfair labor practice trials and EEOC Commissioner Charges.
  • Participated in mediation of sexual harassment claims, both as advocate and mediator.
  • Served as independent investigator of sexual harassment claims.
  • Obtained injunctions against union picket line violence.
  • Trained managers in sexual harassment policies and union avoidance.
  • Defended ERISA suits seeking benefits and pension surpluses.
  • Negotiated and drafted collective bargaining agreements.
  • Arbitrated discharge and contract interpretation cases.
  • Represented employers in OSHA citations and enforcement proceedings, including numerous fatality cases.
  • Resolved numerous non-competition and trade secret disputes.
  • Negotiated and drafted executive employment and separation agreements.
