Practice focuses on cross border and domestic leasing and project finance transactions but with broad experience in representing equity investors, lenders, borrowers and investment bankers in various types of financial transactions.
Relevant Experience
- Representation of equity investors in cross border leasing transactions throughout Europe and Asia involving rail, telecommunications, aircraft and other equipment, power generation, waste recovery and manufacturing facilities and office buildings and other real estate assets.
- Representation of equity investors and lessees in domestic leveraged lease transactions throughout the United States involving municipal rail lines, rail, aircraft, mining, manufacturing and other equipment, power generation, waste recovery and various manufacturing and educational facilities, including representing the lessee in a $2.3 billion leveraged lease financing of a 1370 MW cogeneration facility in Michigan.
- Representation of an Eastern European telecommunications company in a project finance transaction with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to develop a modern telecommunications system for a major metropolitan area.
- Representation of a group of manufacturers in Cali, Columbia, in negotiation of a power supply agreement with a major international power developer.
- Representation of state, municipal and other governmental entities, nonprofits, lenders and investment bankers in the financing of educational facilities, water and sewer projects, low and moderate income housing, student loans and other projects.
