Practice focuses on all aspects of finance, joint ventures, real estate investment trusts, hospitality industry, corporate structuring, capital markets, mezzanine and subordinated loans, loan workouts and commercial real estate transactions.

Relevant Experience
  • Represented borrowers and lenders in connection with billions of dollars of workouts of loans, including secured and unsecured lines of credit and other facilities.
  • Extensive experience representing lenders and special services in commercial real estate workouts.
  • Involved in joint venture negotiations representing stock exchange companies, start-ups and venture funding companies.
  • Extensive experience in the hospitality area, including hotels, management agreements, franchises, resort integration agreements, interval ownership resorts and condominium hotels.
  • Represent funds in raising money and acquiring distressed real estate assets.
  • Extensive experience with real estate investment trusts, including asset acquisitions and sales and complex finance.
  • Represented lenders and public companies in setting up mezzanine and other complex loan programs.
  • Represented syndicators, sponsors and investors in low-income housing tax credit and historic rehabilitation tax credit transactions, including both single property investments and multiproperty funds.
  • Negotiated stock and asset acquisitions.
  • Substantial experience in structured finance, including leveraged leases of assets and synthetic leases of multi-use properties.
  • Represented borrowers and originators and worked with asset securitization team on commercial mortgage backed securities.
