Goodwyn Practice focuses on labor and employment law with considerable experience counseling management concerning compliance with Federal and State employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Practice also includes representation of clients in connection with employment litigation. Relevant Experience Substantial experience defending employers in connection with discrimination, harassment, FLSA and wrongful discharge claims in federal and state courts. Represented employers in class actions under federal and state wage-hour laws. Extensive experience counseling employers with respect to all facets of the employer/employee relationship. Handles charges of discrimination before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Represented clients in connection with audits by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division audits. Participated in union organizing campaigns. Represented employers in administrative hearings before the National Labor Relations Board.
