General commercial litigation practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, loan workouts, lender liability, contract disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, UCC, trade secrets and other commercial litigation.

Relevant Experience
  • Regularly represents secured and unsecured lenders, trade creditors, lessors, landlords and indenture trustees in Chapter 11 reorganizations.
  • Regularly manages a variety of franchise issues for large franchisors arising from franchisee defaults in and out of bankruptcy.
  • Regularly provides advice and representation in defense of preference claims, fraudulent conveyance actions, turnover actions and other bankruptcy adversary proceedings.
  • Litigated various commercial, civil cases in federal and Georgia state courts.
  • Represented various judgment creditors in post-judgment collection proceedings.
  • Obtained money judgment and attorneys fees on behalf of major corporation against roofing construction company for breach of roofing warranty.
  • Defended national corporation in trade secrets dispute involving nuclear fuel storage technology.
  • Experienced in securities industry arbitrations of broker/dealer disputes.
  • Represented clients in defense and prosecution of employment related disputes, including actions seeking injunctive relief to preserve trade secrets and enforce restrictive covenants.
  • Litigated and settled breach of contract action on behalf of major supplier of natural gas.
  • Prosecuted state and federal civil claims for violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
