Practice focuses on complex commercial and business litigation and white collar criminal defense. Ms. Mathews has litigated matters concerning contract and partnership disputes, deceptive business practices, trademark disputes, franchise and distributor relationships, securities fraud, antitrust disputes and products liability. She has also been involved in various internal corporate investigations focusing on money laundering and violation of the Federal RICO statute. Ms. Mathews has assisted in the creation and implementation of numerous corporate and money laundering compliance programs.

- Represented Fortune 500 companies in numerous commercial and contract disputes.
- Represented a multi-national publicly traded company in connection with an internal investigation of money laundering compliance issues.
- Represented large multi-national companies in a dispute involving the termination of various partnership and business agreements.
- Handled numerous injunction proceedings involving matters such as intellectual property disputes, franchise and distributor terminations, enforcement of covenants not to compete and protection of confidential information and trade secrets.
- Successfully defended securities fraud action.
- Successfully defended a whistleblower action brought against a major communications network.
- Represented a large furniture retailer in a state court litigation relating to contract and warranty disputes and deceptive business practice claims.
- Designed and implemented Corporate Compliance Programs for Fortune 500 companies.
- Conducted Corporate Compliance Reviews and internal investigations for Fortune 500 companies.
- Litigated a products liability case involving the manufacture of motor vehicle transporters and mobile homes.
