Bankruptcy practice focuses primarily on representation of corporate debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, indenture and securitization trustees, lessors, and other parties in interest in Chapter 11 bankruptcies.
Relevant Experience
- Currently represents U.S. Energy Systems, Inc. U.S. Energy Overseas Investments, LLC and GBGH, LLC as debtors-in-possession in the Southern District of New York.
- Represented official committees of unsecured creditors in chapter 11 cases, including GB Holdings, Inc. (a holding company that owned a significant equity interest in the Sand’s Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ).
- Represented acquirers and sellers of distressed businesses.
- Represented various secured and unsecured creditors in the chapter 11 cases of numerous national and international companies.
- Represented informal committees of creditors and equity securities holders.
- Represented various non-debtor parties in bankruptcy litigation matters including preference and equitable subordination actions.
- Extensive experience in proposing and opposing plans of reorganization.
- Additional experience in the area of commercial litigation.
