Kevin J. White

Mr. White's practice focuses on employment litigation, counseling, and internal corporate investigations. Mr. White represents clients in state and federal court and before administrative bodies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. White's litigation practice consists largely of collective action wage and hour claims and employee raiding and misappropriation of trade secrets claims. Mr. White also represents and counsels clients regarding executive employment agreements, noncompetition agreements, and federal and state discrimination claims.

Relevant Experience
  • Represented clients in nationwide wage and hour collective actions.
  • Represented both employers and executives in employment contract negotiations.
  • Defended employers against claims involving stock options and phantom equity.
  • Represented employers in multi-plaintiff cases alleging ERISA violations.
  • Conducted internal corporate investigations of alleged immigration violations, OSHA noncompliance, and sexual harassment and discrimination by company officers.
  • Defended employers in cases alleging discrimination and retaliation.
  • Defended against and prosecuted claims of employee raiding, breach of noncompetition agreements, and misappropriation of trade secrets.
  • Represented employers before the NLRB in matters alleging discrimination because of union activity.
  • Counseled employers on employment policies and practices, including employee handbooks, drug testing, and DOT compliance.
  • Written and spoken on such topics as public information requests, the Uniform Commercial Code, medical leaves of absence, overtime wages, record retention, employee discipline, and covenants not to compete.
