Mr. Proust is an associate in the firm's Global technology, Outsourcing and Privacy Group. His practice focuses on a range of French and international data compliance projects, including implementation of global data management strategies, data transfers and local data compliance. Mr. Proust's practice also frequently involves the counseling of clients on various aspects of technology law, including privacy & security, e-commerce and consumer protection.

- Advising an international oil & gas company with its global data management policy, and assisting this company to implement binding corporate rules.
- Advising a global financial services corporation with its European data compliance project, in particular, self-certifying to Safe Harbor, registering with local data protection authorities, reviewing internal policies and procedures, reviewing third party service provider agreements and verifying compliance of a web platform with national law.
- Assisting an international provider of systems and software technologies to register its data processing with the French data protection authority, including filing notifications, reviewing model clauses for the international transfer of data and drafting internal notice forms for employees.
- Advised a global company with carrying out an internal investigation, particularly on all aspects of employee privacy and international transfer of data.
- Assisted a major player in engineering, technologies and construction services for oil and gas with the appointment of a personal data protection officer in France.
- Audited the information systems and the processing of personal data for a European real estate company.
- Assisted a phone marketing company before the French data protection authority (CNIL).
- Drafted the computer guidelines and implemented the employee monitoring policy for one of the leaders in the travel retail sector.
- Drafted standard contractual clauses on the transfer of data for a multichannel selling company.
- Assisted a major online auctioning company in a case of misuse of a data subject's personal data.
- Assisted a French transportation company in its data compliance procedures before the French data protection authority (CNIL).
