Doug is a member of the firm's Competition Team. In the past 20 years, he has litigated a wide range of antitrust, environmental, and commercial disputes, with a particular focus on class actions and multidistrict proceedings in federal courts. He has represented industries including trucking, air cargo, timber production and other forest products, oceanic shipping, metals recycling, telecommunications, and health care products.
Doug is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, and is an inactive member of the Washington State bar. He has worked on cases in numerous federal and state courts. Over the years, Doug has spoken frequently on antitrust compliance. His pro bono work concentrates on residential landlord-tenant disputes, representing clients through Hunton & Williams' Church Hill office in Richmond, Virginia. He is Chairman of the Commonwealth Autism Service in Virginia, a non-profit organization that seeks to maximize the potential and quality of life of each Virginian with autism across the lifespan. He also is Chairman of the non-profit Dominion School for Autism. An instrument-rated pilot, Doug also volunteers for Mid-Atlantic Angel Flight, an organization that provides free air transport to seriously ill individuals.
