Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Amber M. Rogers was named to Bloomberg Law’s inaugural edition of the “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” list, an annual compilation of lawyers under the age of 40 with track records of success in significant client matters and leadership in their communities.

The publication recognized 40 attorneys across the nation who demonstrated ownership of key roles in client matters, innovative thought leadership, support and participation in diversity and inclusion efforts and strong leadership skills in their law firms and beyond through pro bono service. Rogers was featured for her “zealous advocacy, success in [her] client engagements, and [her] leadership at [her] firm and in [her] community.”

As the hiring partner of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Dallas office and the first African-American woman elected to the firm’s Executive Committee, Rogers assists clients with traditional labor relations and litigation, conducting sensitive workplace investigations, employment advice and counseling and complex employment litigation. Her litigation experience also includes regularly representing clients in wage and hour collective and class actions, trade secrets and post-employment restrictive covenant disputes and complex employment discrimination. Recently, she received a unanimous decision from the Fifth Circuit overturning two National Labor Relations Board’s decisions for a Texas-based nuclear plant, the largest in the state, and represented Texas’ largest transmission and distribution electric utility during its union representation election.

Additionally, Rogers is a leader and promoter of diversity in the firm and the legal community, having co-founded The NEW (Network of Empowered Women) Roundtable to focus on influencing, empowering and impacting careers of African-American women attorneys. She is co-chair of the Dallas office diversity committee and of the firm’s Diversity Oneness Luncheon series, which is a quarterly gathering for the firm’s racial and ethnic minority attorneys. Rogers is also a frequent author and speaker and has travelled internationally to train executives on effectively conducting workplace investigations.
