Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the underwriters in connection with an SEC-registered offering by Southern Power Company of $400 million aggregate principal amount of its 0.90% Series 2021A Senior Notes due January 15, 2026.

Southern Power Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Southern Company and an operating public utility. Southern Power Company and its subsidiaries develop, construct, acquire, own and manage power generation assets, including renewable energy projects, and sell electricity at market-based rates in the wholesale market. At December 31, 2019, Southern Power and its subsidiaries have a generation fleet totaling 11,527 MWs of nameplate capacity in commercial operation.
