Jonathan's practice focuses on corporate finance and capital markets transactions, including asset securitization.

Jonathan is an associate in the Charlotte office and a member of the structured finance and securitization group. He serves as counsel to financial institutions in capital markets matters with a primary focus on mortgage-backed and asset-backed securitization transactions.

He is a member of the Investment Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and a member of the Executive Council of the Mecklenburg County Asian Pacific American Bar.

Relevant Experience

  • Serves as issuer's counsel on prime and subprime mortgage securitization and resecuritization transactions.
  • Acted as underwriter's counsel in offerings of mortgage-backed securities.
  • Serves as counsel to sellers and servicers on securitization transactions.
  • Represents large financial institutions in whole loan purchase, sale and securitization transactions.
  • Represents issuers in net interest margin (NIM) transactions.
  • Advises parties regarding Securities Offering Reform and Regulation AB compliance.
