- Advises individuals in the development and implementation of complex estate plans involving transfer tax reduction, generation-skipping transfers, charitable giving and probate avoidance techniques, including grantor-retained annuity trusts, annual exclusion trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, installment sales to intentionally defective grantor trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts and private foundations.
- Works with executors, trustees and surviving family members to achieve additional transfer tax benefits through timely post-mortem planning, including qualified disclaimers, tax allocation decisions and tax elections.
- Assists owners of closely held businesses regarding business succession planning and general corporate matters.
- Provides support to charitable planned giving officers and other professionals in addressing legal and federal tax issues affecting their donors.
