Practice focuses on health care law and representation of health care providers, including hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and health care delivery systems, on matters involving hospital governance, medical staff relations, physician contracting, managed care, physician credentialing, reimbursement, risk management, bio-ethical considerations, facility and professional licensure and miscellaneous regulatory compliance issues.
Extensive experience in medical staff credentialing and discipline, hospital operations, licensing and regulatory issues for health care providers and in medical care facilities certificate of public need proceedings, including representations of applicants and applicant adversaries in numerous agency proceedings conducted under Virginia Administrative Process Act and appeals in state circuit court and briefing and/or argument of appeals in the Virginia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
Lobbying at the state level for over 15 years and government relations.
