Mr. Quackenboss is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex labor and business disputes. He represents clients in federal and state courts nationwide, before the National Labor Relations Board, and in the tactical and public communications response to union-coordinated attack campaigns. He counsels employers on practical global labor relations strategies, collective bargaining and management of union elections. Mr. Quackenboss also co-chairs the firm's Unfair Competition and Information Protection Task Force, which coordinates the firm's resources on trade secret theft, restrictive covenant and non-competition matters. He counsels and speaks frequently on the development of social media programs and their compliance with privacy and labor laws.

Relevant Experience

  • Represents Fortune 100 companies before the National Labor Relations Board in representation and decertification cases, employer petitions, class and complex unfair labor practice claims and compliance proceedings. 
  • Designs national labor relations programs and policies for retail, manufacturing and other clients, including strategic plans for initial expansion and migration into the nation’s most active and aggressive union markets.  
  • Litigates multidistrict and multiparty business and employment cases, including product liability, whistleblower, wage and hour, RICO, UCC, securities, construction, asset purchase and business tort matters.
  • Advises and defends political, media, lobbying and business entities targeted by organized labor and NGOs in corporate-style campaigns, including implementation of physical security measures, strategic public communications and related litigation.
  • Litigates disputes involving non-competition employment agreements in many business fields, including nuclear fuel technology, computer software and hardware design, executive recruiting, advertising services, acoustics engineering, electrical engineering, temporary personnel services, pigment manufacturing and graphic and audiovisual design.
  • Litigates trade secret and non-disclosure matters arising from employment relationships, including the protection of trademarks, service marks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets and other intellectual property and proprietary information.
