The firm was founded in Richmond in 1901. Today, Richmond is the largest office, composed of nearly 250 attorneys, with experience in a wide range of legal matters. All of the firm's practice areas are represented in the Richmond office.
Hunton & Williams LLP attorneys have advised clients on complex, multijurisdictional litigation; corporate governance and securities litigation; product liability; energy; environmental, regulatory and toxic tort: telecommunications and public utilities regulation; and litigation. In addition, our attorneys routinely handle affirmative action and employment audits, key employee contracts, management labor relations and employment training.
We are committed to providing pro bono legal services to those in our communities who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer. In 1990, Hunton & Williams established its flagship pro bono office in Richmond's historic Church Hill neighborhood. Legal services there include family law, housing and real estate, and guardianship. Since its opening, more than 100 Hunton & Williams lawyers have volunteered to help over 6,500 pro bono clients in the Church Hill office alone.
Our dedication to the community is manifested not only by a commitment to a significant pro bono practice, but also by our involvement in many Richmond-area service projects, including Rebuilding Together Richmond, the Christmas Mother Program, the Richmond Outreach Center and the Massey Cancer Center.
