London – Business Intake and Conflicts Analyst
The London Office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, a leading US law firm, is actively recruiting a Business Intake and Conflicts Analyst. This position is responsible for providing time sensitive support for firmwide onboarding of new work and new hires consistent with firm policies, controls and procedures based on applicable law, regulation, professional rules, guidance, and sound risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains an understanding of the Firm’s policies and procedures related to business intake, engagement letters, conflicts, screening, combatting money laundering and terrorist or proliferation financing, and sanctions.
- Works independently and in conjunction with AML Manager on AML policy-related client/matter due diligence controls and procedures applicable to new client/matter approvals and ongoing or client/matter monitoring.
- Manages all aspects of incoming service requests from firm lawyers and professional assistants as well as firm administrative staff. Collaborates with Business Intake Lawyers and other team members to ensure client service expectations are met.
- Along with Business Intake Lawyers and Manager participates in developing, revising and implementing business intake process improvements, policies and protocols in a collaborative and proactive manner.
Qualifications
Education and experience : High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of business intake and client due diligence processes experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Experience with business process workflow and database queries. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills. Other Minimum Qualifications: Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work long hours as needed to serve multi-jurisdictional firm across global time zones and meet client expectations and critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.
