Special Counsel Allen C. Goolsby has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel, an exclusive professional, educational and honorary association of North American lawyers widely recognized for their achievements in the field of corporate governance. Goolsby is the only Virginia-based lawyer in the College, which was founded in 2015.

Goolsby, who has authored several books on Virginia Corporation law — most recently the 5th edition of Goolsby and Haas on Virginia Corporations — regularly has represented boards of directors and board committees special investigations and other corporate governance, M&A, and securities and finance matters over the course of his career. He also has served as a member of a number of corporate boards.

Membership in the College is extended by invitation only to lawyers who have made significant, sustained contributions to the governance community through their practices, speaking, writing and thought leadership. For more information, visit the American College of Governance Counsel.
