Hunton & Williams LLP continues to expand its litigation practice with the hire of Dallas lawyer David R. McAtee as special counsel. McAtee, whose domestic federal trial and global appellate practice involves complex business litigation issues and regulatory investigations, has focused on defending “Big Four” accounting firms; developing programs for antitrust compliance; and representing clients in matters involving the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and antitrust divisions of state attorneys general offices.
“David’s decades-long and distinguished litigation career gives him a wealth of experience and insights to share, making him the perfect advocate to help us guide our clients or to serve as a key strategist to find solutions to difficult litigation issues,” said Patrick E. After graduation from Baylor University, McAtee received his law degree from the University of Texas. Following graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Jack Pope, Supreme Court of Texas. McAtee has lectured and published widely in the business litigation, accountant’s liability, lender liability and financial institutions complex litigation fields. He is also recognized in the Dallas community for his civic involvement and leadership.
