Driven by the market crisis, the number of lawsuits filed against foreign companies has risen. Litigator Ed Fuhr said, as the economy becomes more globalized, there is a trend toward more cases being brought against foreign companies. He predicts a number of regional and smaller financial institutions will face economic difficulties this year, which will, in turn, generate new lawsuits. Fuhr’s litigation practice focuses on securities class actions, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder derivative actions, and SEC investigations.
