Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises IDB Invest in Loan to Banco de América Central, S.A.

On August 25, 2020, Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IDB Invest”) closed on an unsecured $60 million loan facility to Banco de América Central, S.A. (“BAC”). The proceeds of the loan will be used by BAC to make sub-loans to women led/owned small and medium-sized enterprises in El Salvador, including through BAC’s “Mujer Acelera” program aimed to support such women led/owned SMEs.

The U.S.-based firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB Invest as international counsel. Salvadoran legal advice to IDB Invest was provided by BLP.
