Hunton & Williams LLP Named Top M&A Firm by Number of Deals After Advising on 12 Bank Acquisitions in 2012

DALLAS — March 11, 2013 — Hunton & Williams LLP was ranked #1 for the fourth time in six years in SNL Financial's league tables for bank and thrift legal advisers, by number of deals. SNL Financial provides business intelligence services for the banking, insurance, financial services, real estate, energy, and media and communications sectors.
The firm's financial institutions corporate and regulatory lawyers advised on 12 announced whole bank acquisitions and two additional undisclosed transactions during 2012. Over the past 15 years, they have participated in nearly 300 banking merger and acquisition transactions.
