LONDON, MIAMI — April 9, 2013 — Hunton & Williams LLP partners John Delionado and Ryan Ketchum were named to Law360's 2013 "Rising Stars" in its annual profiles of lawyers under the age of 40 with notable accomplishments in their respective practice groups. Delionado was one of only three lawyers named for Privacy & Consumer Protection; Ketchum was one of five named for Energy.

Litigation partner Delionado, of the firm's office in Miami, concentrates his practice on internal investigations, cybersecurity matters, privacy litigation and financial institution defense. A former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Delionado has prosecuted a wide variety of crimes including bank, wire, and computer fraud, including an intrusion into a large information vendor that supplied information to law enforcement, as well as money laundering and narcotics trafficking. Law360 says he displays "a knack for thinking quick on his feet and identifying critical information within a complicated maze of data." Last year, Delionado was named one of the top "40 Under 40" lawyers by the South Florida Business Journal. You may read Delionado’s "Rising Star" profile here (subscription only).

Energy partner Ketchum, based in London, focuses on the development, construction, financing, purchase and sale of energy and infrastructure projects worldwide, with a particular emphasis on frontier and emerging markets. Law360 says Ketchum works on some of the "biggest energy projects in emerging markets in Africa and Eastern Europe," including serving as counsel to governments, sponsors and lenders on the development of energy and telecommunications infrastructure. Notably, he represented the Government of Uganda on the development, construction and financing of the Bujagali hydroelectric facility on the River Nile (the "Bujagali Hydroelectric Project"), which was awarded Project Finance magazine’s "African Power Deal of the Year" in 2007. The Bujagali Hydroelectric Project constitutes the largest-ever private sector investment in Uganda and the surrounding region. Among other engagements, he is currently advising the Governments of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda on the development of the 145 MW Ruzizi III Regional Hydroelectric Project.
