Miami, FL -- May 12, 2008 — Hunton & Williams LLP today announced  its recent representation of the North American division of Danish bakery group Lantmännen Unibake ("Lantmännen") in its acquisition of EuroBake, one of Florida's largest frozen bread suppliers.  Through its  first bakery business acquisition in the United States, Lantmännen will gain 200 employees and customers that include hotels, restaurants, and theme parks through the United States. Lantmännen is one of the world’s largest suppliers of frozen bread products.

Merger and acquisitions partner Fernando C. Alonso and associate David R. Yates led the Hunton & Williams team with assistance from associates Uriel A. Mendieta and Jeremy S. Lemmon; tax partner Michael A. Silva   and associate Joshua Z. Mishoe; and environmental partner Catherine D. Little and associate Molly Scott.

"Hunton & Williams is pleased to support Lantmännen as they expand their frozen bakery operations into the U.S. market.  EuroBake and its owners are well respected in the industry and share many of the values and business principles as Lantmännen, making this acquisition very attractive to Lantmännen," said Yates.

"This transaction is representative of the significant increase in cross-border transactions being targeted and completed, particularly by European companies coming into the United States," said Alonso.

Currently, all of the products Lantmännen sells in the United States -- Danish pastries, croissants and fresh and frozen bread products -- are baked in Europe and shipped to the United States.  The purchase of the 53,800 square foot bakery in St. Petersburg, Florida will bring Lantmännen closer to its U.S. customers, providing them with a broader range of products.

The St. Petersburg bakery facility has revenues of more than US $30 million.

EuroBake was represented by Randolph J. Wolfe of Foley & Lardner's Tampa office.
