Mendieta was named one of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, South Florida chapter’s "40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers" of Miami-Dade County. Bestowed annually by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, this important listing honors young professionals under the age of 40 in the Miami-Dade area for their success in business and their commitment to community service.

Mendieta and other honorees were honored at the chapter’s annual fundraising gala event, held Saturday, October 2. In attendance were leading members of the Florida Bar, the judiciary, and local community leaders. The 40 Under 40 event featured a live auction, a Bid for a Cure, and a silent auction. The foundation strives to develop the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and bring a better quality of life to those suffering from this disease.

Mendieta is a member of the corporate private equity practice in the firm's Miami office. His practice focuses on general corporate representation, including mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, and national and international project finance. Mendieta has represented clients seeking to engage in infrastructure projects through public-private partnerships with governmental entities.
