Bangkok - 26 March 2008 - Hunton & Williams (Thailand) Limited (“Hunton & Williams”) today announced that it represented Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited in a THB950 million credit facility agreement between the financial institution and Bangchak Biofuel Company Limited (“Bangchak Biofuel”) for the construction and operation of a biodiesel plant in Ayudhya Province in central Thailand. The credit facility will allow Bangchak Biofuel, a subsidiary of Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited, to begin construction of the plant in May 2008, with an estimated completion date of July 2009.

“Completing this transaction was very important to Bangchak Biofuel,” said Surasak Vajasit, partner on the transaction. “With the rising costs of oil and crude, Thai companies are seeking alternative energy sources to fuel the nation.”

The Hunton & Williams team was led by Bangkok-based partner Surasak Vajasit. Assisting him on the transaction were Bangkok associates Piroon Saengpakdee and Chotiwit Ngamsuwan.

Bangchak Biofuel was represented by LS Horizon Limited.
