NEW YORK ―Charles D. Ossola has joined Hunton & Williams LLP as a partner in its intellectual property group in Washington. Ossola focuses his international practice on IP litigation and counseling, including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters, as well as pharmaceutical patent litigation and antitrust matters that intersect with intellectual property. He has counseled companies in the United States, Asia and Europe and served as lead counsel in more than 35 cases in courts across the nation and before the International Trade Commission. The sixth partner to join the firm since the beginning of the year, Ossola will work closely with partner Eric H. Weisblatt, who joined the IP practice group in June.

“Chuck spent 14 of his 37-year career with Hunton, practicing environmental and intellectual property law and general litigation. He has maintained close ties to many of our lawyers, and we welcome him back to the firm,” says Maya M. Eckstein, who leads the firm’s intellectual property practice group. “His background with insurance, manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical companies further bolsters our capabilities to serve clients, both here in the United States and abroad.”

Ossola adds, “Hunton & Williams has a well-integrated global platform, a strong international IP practice, and a culture that values collaboration and cooperation between practice groups. “I am excited about returning ‘home’ and contributing to its further success.”
