Lisa Sotto reports on a recent hot trend with respect to student privacy bills being passed in many states. As Delaware joins the trend in enacting a student privacy law, Sotto tells Bloomberg BNA, “this data had fallen through the cracks” because the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act applies only to children younger than 13. Sotto is the head of the firm’s global privacy and cybersecurity practice.
