NEW YORK — Hunton & Williams LLP partner Steven M. Haas was named to Law360’s 2015 Rising Stars, an annual compilation of lawyers under the age of 40 with notable accomplishments in their respective practice groups. Haas was among eight lawyers recognized for work in corporate M&A law.

Haas received his law degree in 2004 from the University of Virginia, where he was on the Virginia Law Review. In the 10 years since graduation, he has come to represent several of Hunton & Williams’ largest clients and built a significant deal list. In the past year alone, Law360 says, “Haas has played a central role in more than half a dozen major deals, a particularly notable achievement for a 38-year-old partner working outside a major legal market.” Haas has also established himself as a thought leader, having published more than 35 articles, some of which have been cited by the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Supreme Court. Haas recently co-authored the corporate governance guide Goolsby & Haas on Virginia Corporations. He is also the co-editor of Corporate Governance: Law and Practice.
