Years of Experience: The Washington, DC office of Hunton & Williams LLP seeks an experienced patent litigator to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group. Applicants should have two to five years of experience litigating patents in the areas of electronics, e-commerce, telecommunications, and/or computer software and hardware. A undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and a patent registration number are preferred, but not required. Demonstrated writing and oral advocacy skills are a must, including experience writing briefs, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, dealing with opposing counsel, and managing patent-related discovery issues. The ideal candidate will be hard-working with a strong academic background, outstanding analytical ability, excellent writing skills and be both detail-oriented and able to demonstrate leadership and initiative.
