Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that insurance coverage partner Latosha M. Ellis has been recognized as one of Business Insurance’s 2025 Women to Watch. The annual awards program, celebrating its 20th anniversary, “honors the achievements of outstanding female leaders in insurance and risk management and recognizes their contributions in an industry traditionally male-dominated at the executive level.”

Based in Washington, DC, Ellis delivers comprehensive, end-to-end counsel to help clients with all of their insurance coverage needs, from policy procurement and analysis to claims resolution and payment and, if necessary, alternative dispute resolution or litigation. She regularly advises clients on all major forms of insurance coverage, with particular experience in cyber risk and media liability. She has handled and tried cases in state and federal trial courts nationwide.

In addition to her legal practice, Ellis is an accomplished author and lecturer. She frequently contributes to the Hunton Insurance Recovery Blog and speaks at seminars across the country on emerging issues in insurance coverage and risk management, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, insurance and indemnity clauses in third-party contracts, and insurance coverage denials. Ellis serves as Co-Vice Chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia. She has an active pro bono practice, which includes advocating for full democracy for disenfranchised residents of the District of Columbia and providing insurance advice and counsel to nonprofits and small businesses.
