Hunton Promotes Two Attorneys to Counsel

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Danielle Dobrusin and Javaneh Tarter to counsel. The firm proudly recognizes these talented individuals for their accomplishments and client service.

Danielle Dobrusin (Corporate, New York) advises clients on compliance with federal, state, and international privacy and data security laws. She has a particular focus on counseling regarding compliance with state consumer privacy laws, consumer health privacy laws, children and teen privacy and social media laws, and the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Dobrusin also assists clients with privacy-related issues in the artificial intelligence and ad tech space. Additionally, she drafts and negotiates privacy and data security provisions for commercial contracts, advises on due diligence issues, and assists clients with data breach and cybersecurity incident response. She prepares responses to the FTC, state attorneys general, and international inquiries in connection with privacy investigations and cybersecurity incidents, and supports clients with proactive cyber incident readiness activities. Dobrusin received her undergraduate degree from University of Arizona, cum laude, and her law degree from New York University School of Law.

Javaneh Tarter (Administrative Law, Washington, DC) assists clients with regulatory compliance, advocacy before federal agencies, transactional due diligence, and enforcement defense under a myriad of chemical, pesticide, and product focused laws, including the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), state per-and-polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) product reporting and restrictions, and California’s Proposition 65. Tarter also assists clients in evaluating and bringing legal actions in federal court to challenge agency rulemakings. Tarter serves as the Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Section on Environment, Energy and Resources (SEER) Pesticides and Chemicals Committee. Tarter previously advised clients on chemical regulations in private practice and served as in-house counsel for the American Coatings Association, where she provided regulatory and government affairs services concerning environmental, occupational safety and health, product stewardship, and chemical policy. Tarter received her undergraduate degree from DePauw University, cum laude, and her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
