HuntonAK Pathfinders Fellowship Program

The HuntonAK Pathfinders Fellowship program has been established to attract outstanding first generation law students to the private practice of law while helping these students be successful in law school through both work and mentorship experiences afforded by the program. Our HuntonAK Pathfinders Program provides a potential fellowship award of up to $25,000, as outlined below, to selected summer associates who are participating in our 2L summer associate program. Hunton Andrews Kurth is committed to recruiting, retaining and advancing lawyers with varied backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and our HuntonAK Pathfinders Fellowship program is one of the many programs we have implemented to contribute toward expanding opportunities in the legal profession. In addition to applying for a 2L summer associate position, students interested in applying to this Pathfinders Fellowship program are required to submit a First Generation statement, which explains their first generation law student experience and what motivated them to consider law as a profession. Pathfinders Fellowship Program applications will be considered after program applicants have received and accepted a 2L summer associate offer.

Interviews

To make the on-campus recruiting process as seamless as possible, we interview centrally on-campus for all offices that have a summer program. Candidates who apply directly online may be contacted by phone for a preliminary interview. If you are selected for a call-back interview, you will be contacted by recruiting staff in the appropriate office(s) to schedule interview dates.

During call-back interviews you will meet with key lawyers and recruiting staff. These visits give you an opportunity to ask as many questions as you like, helping you learn more about the firm, our culture and our clients. Following these interviews, we strive to extend offers as quickly as possible. We are happy to schedule follow-up interviews if there are additional questions you have or more attorneys you would like to meet. We look forward to learning more about you and telling you more about our story!
