FTC’s Draft Strategic Plan Focuses on Children’s Privacy and Telemarketing
Time 1 Minute Read

The Federal Trade Commission recently published its Draft Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2026-2030 (“Draft Plan”), which identifies protecting children’s online privacy as a key enforcement priority. The FTC plans to achieve this aim primarily through its continued enforcement of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and the recently enacted Take It Down Act.

The Draft Plan also indicates that the FTC will continue its efforts to police unlawful telemarketing, including the use of enforcement tools such as the Consumer Sentinel Network, which facilitates the sharing of consumer reports of unlawful telemarketing with law enforcement.
