Hunton & Williams LLP recently enhanced its national real estate practice with the addition of new partners Carl F. Schwartz and Laurie A. Grasso, as well as real estate finance partners Brett L. Gross, Peter J. Mignone, Donald F. Simone and Mitchell G. Williams. Carl will be chair of the New York real estate group. Their team includes the following senior attorneys and associates: Bethany Adler, Viktoria Garo, Jeff Goland, David A. Kaufman, Jay Mower, Matthew A. Scoville and Brian J. Shortt. With these new arrivals, the firm's real estate practice has grown to more than 50 lawyers, and more associates are expected in the coming weeks.

Carl and Laurie joined from Herrick, Feinstein LLP, where Carl chaired the real estate department for 10 years. He represents commercial real estate owners, developers, and lenders, including REITs and private equity funds, in local, national and international transactions. Laurie served as chair of Herrick's real estate private equity group. She concentrates on real estate private equity funds, development, joint ventures and debt investment.

Brett, Peter, Donald and Mitchell joined from SNR Denton and previously led the real estate finance practice at Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP. They have extensive experience with various complex loan transactions and Wall Street real estate finance transactions. With these recent additions, the firm is focused on the expansion of its real estate finance practice and providing new clients with tax, securities, structured finance and securitization advice through its existing practices.
