After the opening of its first California offices in Los Angeles in 2006, the firm expanded its West Coast presence in 2008 when it opened its second California office, in San Francisco. Today, our California offices comprise 35 attorneys, with experience in a wide range of legal matters.

Class actions, collective actions, and federal and state agency pattern or practice actions represent a significant component of our California practice. Lawyers in our San Francisco office focus on complex employment litigation, wage and hour class and collective actions, public accommodations class actions, and federal and state agency litigation. They are part of a national team of accomplished trial attorneys who serve as national and regional counsel for multiple clients, litigating many of the leading plaintiff-side trends and defending employers in some of the most notoriously high-risk and plaintiff-friendly jurisdictions in the nation.

Hunton & Williams environmental team in California is an integral component of the firm’s larger practice, which has long been at the center of the most significant environmental policy debates, regulatory developments, enforcement and litigation in the United States and beyond. Lawyers in our San Francisco office have extensive experience assisting domestic and international clients in the mining, chemicals, petroleum, technology, financial services and other industries with air, water and waste-related matters, and with environmental policy and transactional work at the state, national and international levels.

For the sixth consecutive year, 100 percent of Hunton & Williams full-time lawyers participated in pro bono projects.
