The AmLaw Daily recently interviewed two Hunton & Williams lawyers, Bob Rolfe and Terence Rasmussen, about their work on a pro bono case the firm has been handling for two years in partnership with the nonprofit organization, People for the American Way. The article highlights the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal's recent ruling, which affirmed a lower court ruling upholding the nonsectarian-prayer policy of the Fredericksburg, Va. City Council. In the interview, Rasmussen, an associate whose practice includes corporate and securities matters, talks about being given the opportunity to argue the case in district court. Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, whom Rolfe noted "was a very active questioner," wrote the opinion for the Fourth Circuit panel that decided the case.
