New Gifts Law Will be an Evolving Process

Virginian-Pilot | May 21, 2015

Whitt Clement comments on the new conflict of interest law that caps gifts and forbids officials from accepting more than $100 in a calendar year from any one lobbyist or company. Clement does not think staying within the $100 cap will be difficult. He states, “Getting comfortable with the new law will be an ‘evolving process’ for many lobbyists.“ Clement is a partner in the Richmond office and head of the state government relations practice group.
