Energy Bar Association Honors Michael Messonnier with Jason F. Leif Chapter Service Award
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that counsel Michael J. Messonnier, Jr. was recently honored by the Energy Bar Association with the 2025 Jason F. Leif Chapter Service Award. This award recognizes exemplary long-term service, or one or more particularly significant examples of service, by an EBA member to one or more of the EBA Chapters.
Based in the firm’s Richmond office, Messonnier focuses his practice on regulatory, planning, finance, and market design matters for domestic energy sector clients. His work has concentrated on representing Independent System Operators (ISOs) and other energy sector clients in their dealings with federal and state regulatory agencies and reliability organizations, in the design and implementation of transmission planning and interconnection rules, in the design and operation of ISO markets, in the development and application of finance rules, and on various corporate governance matters. Messonnier previously served as president of the Energy Bar Association’s Southern Chapter.
