NAPABA Names Counsel Reiko Koyama Among 2025 Best Under 40
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce that counsel Perie Reiko Koyama has been named to the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) 2025 Best Under 40 list.
The Best Under 40 Award “celebrates NAPABA members that are exceptional individuals under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields of endeavor—be it the practice of law, academia, business, civic and charitable affairs, the judiciary, or politics—and have demonstrated a strong commitment to Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) civic or community affairs.”
Based in Washington, DC, Koyama focuses her practice on complex litigation, class actions, and privacy and cybersecurity issues. She represents and counsels a wide array of clients in various matters concerning litigation and privacy—including class action defense, multidistrict litigation, and incident response. Koyama has worked on some of the largest data breach class action matters at the firm.
Koyama was a 2023 NAPABA Fellow, a 2021 Pathfinder for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), and chaired the firm’s DC Women’s Initiative for six years. Koyama also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing incarcerated clients seeking parole and post-conviction relief. She serves on the board of directors for the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, which works to prevent wrongful convictions in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
