Hak focuses his practice on class action defense and complex commercial and data privacy and security litigation. He has extensive experience representing a broad client base in many types of business disputes in both federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration.
Hak's experience in data privacy and security litigation covers a wide range of claims—including under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), California Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act (CDAFA), and California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), as well as related federal and state claims. He also regularly counsels clients on mitigating liability risks with regard to a variety of online technologies, including cookies, pixels, beacons, chatbots, search bars, session replay, software development kits, and other similar technology.
