Miami-Dade Bar Recognizes Two Hunton Attorneys at 2025 Circle of Excellence Awards

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Sam Danon and Partner Carol C. Lumpkin have been named awardees of the 2025 Annual Miami-Dade Bar Circle of Excellence Awards in the Corporate Business and Labor and Employment Law areas, respectively. The awards honor attorneys and paralegals in Miami-Dade who personify excellence and exemplify the values and ethics of those in the legal profession.

Established in 2022, the peer-reviewed awards highlight exceptional attorneys selected through a rigorous, multi-stage process involving nominations, independent evaluations, and peer voting.

Danon is the managing partner of Hunton. A founding partner of the firm’s Miami office, he served on the firm’s executive committee for over 12 years and was co-head of the litigation team for more than a decade. Danon’s practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on commercial disputes, consumer class actions, government regulatory advice, and corporate compliance. He has particular experience advising manufacturers in advertising claims, as well as financial institutions and multinational corporations through multijurisdictional disputes and in connection with matters related to operations in the Americas and the Caribbean.

Lumpkin handles complex commercial and employment litigation in industries including food and beverage manufacturers, consumer product companies, retailers, healthcare providers and insurers, and hospitality and hotel management. She has litigated and tried a broad range of matters involving class action defense and represented clients regarding non-compete agreements, trade secret misappropriation, distribution agreement disputes, breach of warranty claims, and commercial lending matters.
