Bloomberg Law Names Conor Shary Among 2025 They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Conor Shary was named to Bloomberg Law’s 2025 edition of “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” list, an annual compilation of lawyers under the age of 40 with track records of success in significant client matters and leadership in their communities.
The publication recognized 40 attorneys across the nation who demonstrated records of success for clients, innovative approaches to client work, leadership roles within their firms, and pro bono service. Conor is one of just two real estate lawyers selected nationwide for the 2025 class.
As head of the Houston office’s real estate practice for Hunton, Conor represents clients from a variety of industries in all aspects of their commercial real estate transactions. He partners with clients as a trusted advisor, often acting as in-house counsel to help them navigate all facets of a transaction. His comprehensive coverage includes assisting with complex portfolio transactions, joint ventures, secured lending transactions, asset management, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, construction and development, and more. Conor routinely counsels buyers, sellers, developers, owners, investors, borrowers, and lenders in connection with their real estate assets, including industrial, warehouse, data centers, offices, retail, multifamily and mixed-use properties.
In addition to leading the Houston’s real estate team, Conor also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee, occupying the sole seat for an attorney who has served as a partner for five or fewer years. He also serves on the firm’s Hiring Committee and is heavily involved in recruiting. Conor is an active participant in the firm’s pro bono program, with a particular focus on working with the National Veterans Legal Service Program (NVLSP). He partners with NVLSP attorneys to advise service members in the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Warrior Care Coalition, a program that provides non-medical assistance to wounded SOCOM service members and their families, on the medical retirement process.
