Hunton Advises on $900M Senior Notes Offering by AEP Texas Inc.

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the underwriters in connection with an SEC-registered offering by AEP Texas Inc. (“AEP Texas”) of $900 million aggregate principal, consisting of (i) $150 million aggregate principal amount of 5.70% Senior Notes, Series O, due May 15, 2034 (the “Series O Senior Notes”) and (ii) $750 million aggregate principal amount of 5.85% Senior Notes, Series P, due October 15, 2055 (the “Series P Senior Notes”, and together with the Series O Senior Notes, the “Senior Notes”). The offering of the Series O Senior Notes constituted the reopening of senior notes originally issued on May 22, 2024.

AEP Texas is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. AEP Texas is engaged in the transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 1,122,000 retail customers through retail electric providers in west, central and southern Texas.
