Hunton Andrews Kurth Earns IJGlobal’s Investor Oil & Gas Deal of the Year Award for the Acquisition of Nigerian Agip Oil Company

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce that the firm received the Investor Oil & Gas Deal of the Year award honor from IJGlobal at the annual investor awards ceremony in London.

The recognition highlighted the firm’s work advising Oando PLC, Nigeria’s leading energy solutions provider listed on both the Nigerian Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, on the successful acquisition of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company from the Italian energy company, Eni, for a total consideration of $783 million. The Hunton team was led by London Energy Partners Simon Collier and Dimitri Papaefstratiou. Other team members included Alex Cunningham, Joseph Lam, Scott Loader, James Bennett, and Lucy Robertson.
