Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented the underwriters in connection with Louisville Gas & Electric Company’s SEC-registered offering of $700 million aggregate principal amount of its First Mortgage Bonds, 5.850% Series due 2055.

Louisville Gas & Electric Company (“LG&E”), headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LG&E and KU Energy LLC, a subsidiary of PPL Corporation, and a regulated utility engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity and distribution and sale of natural gas in Kentucky. LG&E is subject to regulation as a public utility by the Kentucky Public Service Commission, and certain of its transmission activities are subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
